souls and the path

Posted on Aug 29th, 2008 by Atomic Nomad : Atomic Pathfinder Atomic Nomad
I have just learned alot about how we find our path and lost souls, im sorry but im gonna share my findings with you lol, hope i dont bore you to tears lol. I have found ( actually trying to save a lost soul) that when we are younger (humans and souls) we are like hurricanes or tornados we are violently destructive on all sides and in all aspects of our lives. Mainly due to inexperiance and lack of true wisdom. we are formed into these storms by traumatic experiances, ranging from mild to severe, Break ups, spankings poor grades, rape molestation, beatings, divorice, broken homes ect. And we (again humans) as a species erect a defensive barrier to sheild us from further hurt, soon we "lose" our soul if you will rather suppress the inate love and compassion in our beings. and turn cold and violent and defensive to outsiders and things that seem extreme to our individual thought process. hence this is a life of perception and the old sying there are three truths; yours, mine, and what actally happened. A prime example of this would be war and history text, the victor is always painted in fair light and the loser as the enemy to be feard ( like the commies or the muslims, or the arabs.) But we all use this method on a small scale in our own lifes, its your interpretation and mine of an event and yet an unbias ( which is extreamly rare) account will always yeald a conflicting report to the others already given. with this we sheild ourselves with selfritousness and pity and anger, and when we are younger and havent figured out the truths of the world yet we fester and brew into these monterous storms destroying all that is around us long before one can ever see ones true inner beauty ( much like the eye of the storm). you know its there but cant control it to let it through. if anything or anyone does make it to see oones true center. ( an outsider looking into a person i.e. drug addics, troubled youths, people with commitment issues ect.) All they do is stop caring and lose compassion for the troubled ones ( the storm) and hide for they know that the calm never lasts and soon it will be chaos again. hence the reason humans go through lovers like a fish in water. with age and experiance we finaly take all our rage and self pity ect, and face it ( or face teh world/ universe) we find that we are no match for teh "real" world it is stronger faster colder it holds all the keys and guards all teh doors. finaly when one faces themselves and relizes teh core problems and seeks to chainge them ( thus dissapating teh storm) we find we are left with nothing but broken peaces and shattered hopes. and this is the path that we all walk. as we go we pick up teh peices and try make things right. I think this is what in every religion/ though belief system is the path. Karma, buddhist suffering, jesuit law of sin, fate, teh law of three. it all shows us that good deeds must be done in order to atain "enlightenment/ salvation" and that is our path it is one we have soeed ourselves throughout many lifetimes and all we do is pick up teh cosmic peaces and try to find our true way back home. every person action though is a result of teh original damage we inflict upon ourselves as a result of sercomstance and actions against us that forced us to turn violent from our true selves. Hence the reason man is the only species besides a virus to not have adopted a harmonius equilibrium with its enviroment. or its own species. we pollute deforest butcher the helpless and weak reguarless of age sex species. we prauy on the weak , seak that which has no true value to any human. Is gold and diamonds really a girls best friend r is a full belly and a swollen breast, for a suckeling babe. does not a child at an early age require the true joys and necesities of life. food, love and clean bottom. is not everything exciting to them, do they not love freely and without bias. could this not be a universal clue as to what we are truely hear to attain. if a buddhist can obtain enlightenment , and a jew, muslim, christian, pagan, ect salvation ( which is in essence the same) and a babe be born in that same state why cannot we maintain that original bliss? why must we unlearn all that we know as fact. the ansewer is because we are all lost souls who are blind as to why we are here on teh path we are on. we did this to ourselves and have simply done the human thing and forgot, or simply acted selfricous and said life isnt fair. its not my fault... anyway i ramble with my thoughts now. i would like to know your thoughts and feelings on this please. Have a great day and may peace be with you.

Well said.

I had a conversation with a friend of mine recently and said “do you ever wish we could just be lions and not deal with all of this”, half jokingly.  I mean, lions don't have to deal with office politics, or dentist visits, or depression, or terrorism, or hatred.  Lions just exist.  And eat gazelles.  Mmmmmm.

On the other hand, we are given a consciousness, as you say, and that is such a powerful thing.  It makes me sad that there are so many people in this world that do not realize the gift we are given and don't search for a path - they just follow the herd and live a shallow life, or an angry one, or a “blah” life…not reaching for a higher purpose, no matter what religion they follow.

I think the answer to why we lose that bliss lies in society.  Society puts a value on working, and in many cultures people find jobs that pay well, achieve status, and status becomes more of a motivator than enlightenment…and that's a shame.

My dear friend, you try to find an answer and God is not here to tell you the secret of creation :) but the only answer I have for you is do not try to understand, just feel Love and Joy and Peace and Light… and smile more often… The only answer you have is in the eyes of your son :)
